it cost the same amount to buy the gear as it did to hire some one. My husband paid the same amount to hire some that it did not last buy one season. we'll see how long this will last. so far so good.I bought this device and also bought an air buddy duo, took them both to the Florida keys for lobster season. Likes both devices but this one was much simpler to use and lighter to carry and the hose doesn’t tangle like the air buddy does. Good deviceWorks very well, but detailed directions are not included.I USED IT SO FAR IN ABOUT 6 DIVES AND IT WORKS GREAT BUT AS YOU GO DOWN TO 20 TO 30 FEET DEEP IT TAKE SOME EFFORT IN BREATHING..I was going to take this to the Bahamas. It was too heavy to consider carrying in a suitcase. I did not use. I returned it.I was very skeptical and tried it out before allowing the Grandchildren to use it. As a certified Scuba Diver using a tank and BCD, I was not fearful. It works perfectly as the most outrageous pool toy I have ever bought. 12 year old female and 9 year old male grandchildren visited today. They took one breath above water and then went under. My granddaughter progressed enough through taking her mask off and clearing it and mouth piece out of mouth and then using the purge valve to start breathing underwater again that I allowed her to use a weight belt. She stayed on the pool bottom for 11 minutes in perfect bliss. Lots of video with iPhone underwater. This item is a perfect 10. Best thing I have ever bought via Amazon.Bought one and love it so much we are getting a second one. Can't get my daughter to stop using it. She loves it! No issues, it does what it says. It's a little big and heavy but other than that it's awesome! Great for Lobster season!No lo recomiendo ,muy caro y no duro 1 semana ,compramos dos y la fecha de garantía muy corta no pudimos devolverlos perdimos todo el.dinero ,la batería colapso,los cables se quemaron en ambos equipos ...perdida total.
