It's loud, annoyingly ear-hurting-high-pitch loud. Otherwise it's a beauty. Charged up before we went camping. It easily blew up our Coleman extra thick queen size air mattress and our (not quite) 3 inch topper mattress. Then it easily sucked all that air out of our mattresses when we packed up camp. Worked great. Wear ear plugs tho.I got this to air up some larger Klymit sleeping pads, and it does the trick. The battery seems to last for at least 5-6 air-ups, which is pretty good considering these pads are maybe 3-4 times the air volume of a typical backpacker-style pad.People read reviews for the cons, so here they are on this unit:- It is LOUD... like cover your ears loud. oddly and unnecessarily loud.- the "suck" side of the unit is weirdly hard to get the attachments onto... not like the "blow" side, so that also seems oddly thought out and not necessary to be so "flush" with the top.- I use it for the rubberized "flip vent" style valve. The rubber grommet could be a little larger to make it easier to fit around the valve, but this also might be some sort of industry standard size that I am not aware of (so all pumps, regardless of maker, might suffer from this).- It really is more expensive than I think it should be for what it is and the quality it seems to be. Hard to explain other than, when you get it, you will probably also say "40 bucks for THIS?". That said, they are ALL oddly expensive for these little mini-inflators, and at least this one is rechargeable. the Klymit branded one and others run on alkaline batteries, which I assume is terrible, so at least this has that going for it.Bottom line: If you have higher volume camping air pads, or a need to inflate things like pool toys and such away from a power source of some type, then you will want one of these, even though you will cringe at why it is not half the price, and question how long it will last. If Amazon offers one of those warranties on this item, I would consider taking them up on it.I bought this pump and the 3/10/22 I'm really happy with this pimp! I tried a couple of other pumps and the pumps might have been fine but they were un-useable because the adapters didn't work. Flextailgear (EVO pump) has the adapters figured out, they don't pop off of the pump, or pop off whatever is being aired up. I could attach the pump and it would stay in place even if it was free hanging from the mattress. Also, it's fast, it inflated a Thermarest MondoKing mattress in 1.5 minutes. Same thing with a large exercise ball, full inflation in less than 2 minutes. The red and green charge light is really small and you have to look at it directly (not from an angle). It would be nice if they made it a little bigger but it's not a critical thing. Also, the power switch is a slide switch that protrudes from the body of the pump. It would be nice if they had a recessed push button instead, to reduce the chance of having the switch turned on accidentally while it's being jostled around in your vehicle/luggage.The EVO model that I got has a higher pressure rating than most of these mini pumps so that's why it can fill bigger things faster. Some of the reviews mentioned it wasn't very durable and I've only used it twice so I can't speak to that yet. I'll check back in a year and update this review with durability/longevity info. So far, I'm a happy camper! lolI bought the FLEXTAILGEAR EVO Electric Air Pump to use with the Therm-a-Rest MondoKing 3D Self-Inflating Foam Camping Mattress. Originally I tried the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Micro Electric Air Pump for Sleeping Pads but that didn't provide nearly enough pressure to inflate the mattress.The FLEXTAILGEAR EVO Electric Air Pump provides 4.5 KPa (whatever that is) which is more than enough pressure to inflate my air mattress.Since it wasn't designed for the Therm-a-Rest's TwinLock valve it is slightly less convenient to hook up to the valve but once you get the hang of it, it's quite straight forward. Just use the fitting with the soft rubber connector and slide it over the TwinLock valve.The FLEXTAILGEAR EVO Electric Air Pump is loud. I mean, I'm pretty sure it would scare away any bears that were near your campground. I suppose you could call that an added bonus.I'm glad I settled on the FLEXTAILGEAR EVO Electric Air Pump.FOr a small pump it is pretty loud.I really didn't think this little blower would work as advertised, but was I mistaken! Easy to use and store. I have inflated four items and still going on the original charge. Highly recommend for hiking, motorcycle camping and overland adventures.
