Got sick on my fountain pump plugging with spruce needles. Tried making one with mesh screen, sewed with rust proof wire. Needles still got through and then I couldn’t clean out without tearing my cage apart. This bag can easily be removed when the odd debris gets through (a little will). Spray off pump, slip bag over and snug up and you are good for a couple weeks. Of course, you could also cut down the 30 ft spruce tree.
