By the end of the week he was swimming with just one section of the bubble. 5 stars!We loved this product and ordered a second one after testing it on both kids. Today (2nd day of having it) a portion of the buckle snapped in half. This could have been VERY bad if I wasn't directly next to my child.Let me start by saying this tool was recommended to me from a swim instructor. However this particular one is not good. Read this review and then look carefully at the more expensive products that are very similar. A few more dollars is worth it.- the buckle is cheap.- the buckle has no safety mechanism. my other float has a 2step or 2 handed design so the KID CANNOT TAKE IT OFF. This float, my toddler can unbuckle. not good.-there are only 3 layers of foam.Our other float has 5. this one is cleverly colored to make you think there are more layers.-There's no strap holder to thread it back through when there's a lot of excess. this made me worry my child's arm could get tangled in the excess strap somehow. you should probably cut it off about 1ft and then singe the end.-the belt gets looser when it's wornAgain * these devices are great for teaching kids how to swim. DO NOT USE PUDDLE JUMPERS. These actually give the child the right position and range of arm motion, to learn how to swim. PUDDLE JUMPERS TEACH YOUR KID THE OPPOSITE OF SWIMMING AND ACTUALLY MAKE DROWNING MORE LIKELY.So do buy one of these back floats but just not this one.
